Parallel Kingdom Adds Mobility to MMOs
Parallel Kingdomdoesn’t just bring the world of MMORPGs to mobile devices, it brings it into the real world as well.
Currently available for the iPhone and phones running Google Android — like the T-Mobile G1 — the game uses GPS functionality to overlay a virtual world on top of the real one. Walk around your world and start encountering creatures and locations on-screen. Other players in your area will also show up, which is were the MMO component comes in.
Parallel Kingdom: Age of Explorationhas just launched as a free beta, with more “ages” planned.
